Client Advisory Panel

What is it?

Clients are at the heart of Ben’s Place’s (SWY) mission to improve the delivery of its services to all male survivors. The Client Advisory Panel (CAP) is a group of previous clients that supports the Ben’s Place leadership team to ensure that male survivors inform our work, projects, and objectives.

The CAP helps to ensure that male survivors’ voices are empowered and that our service is delivered ethically, creatively, and professionally.

What are the aims?

  • To ensure there is a consistent approach to client insight across Ben’s Place (SWY) services.
  • To promote client involvement as an ongoing and integrated component of organisational development thinking
  • To enable clients to have a transparent role in the change and innovation.

What has it produced:

  • The idea of ‘Kintsugi’ was introduced by one of our CAP members, which resonated with our service message and values. Through this suggestion, we began to integrate the theme of kintsugi into our creative projects. Which include:
    • Podcast series
    • Conference and seminar program
    • Theatre events
  • Generated design improvements to our website from their feedback
  • Encouraged ongoing exploration of AI as a support tool for survivors.
  • Engaged with marketing design & social media engagement improvements.

If you are a previous client of Ben’s Place and you are interested in sitting on our Client Advisory Panel, you can register your interest by emailing us on ops@survivorswestyorkshire.org.uk.
